There are 14 different golf courses on Maui, perfect for ultimate relaxation. Three courses you will definitely need to add to your list are, Kapalua’s Plantation Course, Wailea Golf Club and Ka’anapali Golf Course.

Kapalua’s Plantation Course

One course that you’ll want to check out is Kapalua’s Plantation Course. This course has a restaurant and golf shop, so this is the perfect one to start with if you need to stock up on a few things for your game. This course is ranked as the number one golf course in Maui and is located in the West Maui Mountains. If you are visiting Maui in January, you can attend the PGA TOUR’s Sentry Tournament of Champions at the Kapalua’s Plantation Course. There is also tennis available at the Kapalua Tennis Garden. After a morning of golf, you will be able to enjoy a cool beverage and meal at the Pineapple Grill at Kapalua Resort. There is another fine dining option in the Plantation House Restaurant which is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.


Wailea Golf Club

Another of Maui’s top golf clubs, Wailea Golf Club is “rated among the best golf courses by both Golf Magazine and Golf Digest” according to the club’s official website. They offer three different courses including Wailea Emerald, Wailea Blue, and Wailea Gold. In fact, the Wailea Emerald course won the club a “Top Fairways Award for [being] one of the country’s most women-friendly golf clubs," according to Wailea Golf Club's website. The club’s Wailea Gold Course is one of the top 100 courses in the United States. Dining options at the club include Gannon’s, A Pacific View Restaurant which was listed in Open Tables ‘Top 100 Best Outdoor Dining Restaurants in America’. There is also a bar at the restaurant, The Red Bar, which is the perfect place to get a cool beverage and gaze at the incredible views of the Pacific Ocean.

Ka’anapali Golf Course

In addition to the incredible views at this Golf Course, the course offers a bit of something for everyone. This is a family-friendly golf course that lets kids play for free this January through August 31st with a paying adult. Ka’anapali features two courses Royal Ka’anapali and Ka’anapali Kai. Booking a 5 Night golf package at the Westin Maui Resort and Spa, Ka’anapali is recommended as you’ll receive two rounds of golf at the Ka’anapali course for each night you book at the Westin Maui Resort. There are a wide variety of dining and bar options at the Westin, and a variety of activities for the entire family, including beach access and shopping in the nearby town of Lahaina and in boutiques along the waterfront.
