Things To Do and See in Maui: Maui Ocean Center

Maui is known for it's beautiful beaches and parks, but did you know there are plenty of things to do on rainy days as well? One of the best rainy day attractions is the Maui Ocean Center. Since it opened in 1998, the Maui Ocean Center has been both entertaining and educating visitors. The aquarium boasts one of the largest collections of live Pacific corals in the world as well as a 750,000 gallon Open Ocean exhibit with a walk through tunnel where guests can get a unique view of sharks, fish, sting rays, and sea turtles. Maui Ocean Center is also home to Maui's only shark diving activity. Through Shark Dive Maui®, SCUBA certified guests can dive into the Open Ocean exhibit and get up close and personal with up to six species of sharks native to Hawaii's waters. To learn more, visit the Maui Ocean Center website.
