My Wallpaper:  Pourquoi?  A little insight for you....

Here is a screenshot of the wallpaper I keep on my Mac:

The reason I choose to look at this picture of the water rushing to a beautiful shore line is for some ver powerful reasons.  Standing on the shore of any ocean is probably one of the most powerful things anyone can do.  Why?  Because when you stand next to the ocean, it reminds you just how small you are, or how small ANY one person is in the entire scheme of things.  It reminds me to be humble.  It reminds me that I am just a tiny speck not only on this planet but in this universe.  And to remember to never sweat the small stuff, because it really doesn't matter.  You're here to live a life of wonder, amazement, and most of all, Love.
When I stand next to the ocean, "Stuff" doesn't seem to matter to me any more.  Closing the next transaction, winning my next tennis match, what kind of car I drive, politics, religion, etc.  Material things and senseless agendas don't seem to matter to me when I'm standing next to the ocean.  I just feel peace.  I feel that I am connected to something so powerful that I can't even imagine what it's like while I'm in this lifetime.

Each time I look at my wallpaper, it reminds me that this life is all about Love.  It's all about living a life filled with love, laughter, and appreciation of all that life and the powers that be have given us, and that our time here is limited.  It reminds me to make the absolute best use of it every day with those around me while they are still here...........

Ralph,  I feel similar when at the ocean.  It grounds me. There is so much more happening in life than our stuff.

Good morning, Ralph -- simple and peaceful.  Yeah, this wallpaper is not objectionable at all -- quite the opposite in fact.

One thing for sure, an ocean view as your wallpaper is always great. No such thing as a bad view looking at water.

I share your sentiments Ralph, I am always in awe when I'm at the beach - preferably a quite and not so crowded one. I also look towards the horizon and wonder what is happening right now at the other end of it.

A picture of the ocean is a great choice for a wallpaper, it's soul-soothing.

Very Lake Michigan is the largest body of water we can  visit easily...but with the same sort of "grain of sand" in the scheme of things in terms of significance.
