So you need an evening out, why not spend it at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, California.
The Troubadour opened its doors in 1957.
Performances by The Byrds, Bob Dylan, Elton John and many others have made this really cool venue rich in musical history!
NBC awarded the Troubadour “Best Venue in Los Angeles”!
There are some great events happening at the Troubadour for your entertainment.

I have only been at the Troubadour one time, which was in 1974, I think. I saw Louden Wainwright III. He was hilarious!
I've been there lots, but most of that I cannot remember too clearly. (Read into this comment what you would like.)
Sounds like a fun place to spend an evening. Wish I lived closer and could do just that! Cheers;)
Wow, what history! That's an impressive list of performers! Great photo also, thanks for sharing.
Ralph .... another vivid piece of my personal history .... during the same time I can not remember specifics ... but the "feelings" have lingered for decades. Thanks ...
