Just had to write a blog about this subject because it's very worthy of it.
As a male who has been on the planet for more than 40 years, I can truly say that women are such a blessing. I really think that if women were not around all of us males would not be around because we would have killed ourselves by now by letting our testosterone get out of control and blowing ourselves up!!
And I really thank God that women have come into society into whatever they choose to be, as males have had that right much longer than they have.
Sorry guys, but I have found that more often than not (but not always) that women politicians tend to be better diplomats and advocates for democracy than some men, and I'm glad to see their numbers increasing in both domestic and international goverment affairs.
Of course, we have all come across women who are, well, let's just say, not so pleasant. But then on the flip side we've all had our share of men who are complete jackasses. So rudeness, self-centeredness and manipulation are evils that know no gender borders.
And let's finalize with my Mom. I can't even put into words the type of person that my mother is. Every day of my life I try to be more and more like her in the sense that she is such a loving, insightful person. She has a quality about her that makes people flock to her and just want to be around her. Always positive, always supportive, never negative.
Wow, if I can get some of that in a pill form my sales would probably increase ten-fold!!!
Here's a shout out to all of you women out there: I love all of you so much. God bless you and God bless the warmth that all of you bring to this world, as it is much needed in present times.
God speed to your goals in life whatever they be, and I'm sending some light out to you all who may need it right now.
Women, it does not EVEN matter what race, religion, sexual orientation, height, weight, you may be.
You are all such beautiful beings.
You rock, and blow me away with the qualities you have that us males will probably never have.
I truly appreciate you and thank you for being here.

Awe, thank you! You men are special too, don't ever forget it!
Sincerely,
Kathleen
Kathleen, not really. We're just a bunch of muscle-heads.
Wow, your mom did a great job! I hope I can inspire such appreciation and respect in my son too. Thanks for sending light and blessings today.
Great post Ralph. My wife and I agree that women would make better national leaders as like you said, they tend not to kill as much ;-)
Ralph,
I just went into a business with a fellow, and his one single quality that I found most-convincing, and most worthwhile was "his love for his wife".
That's a remarkable quality. Previously, I had missed that characteristic.
He had some much respect for her, I knew that he would be an excellent business partner.
I guess, I'll never do business with Bill Clinton.
Brian
Gregg,
Have you been frozen in ice for the last 300 years and just thawed out recently??
Ralph, How truly wonderful of you to post a tribute to all women. I am sending you a virtual hug for that and for honoring your mother. You are blessed.
Ralph, I'm not sure if Gregg is on the level or just messing with you but, he should probably keep an eye on his tires in the parking lot.
Ralph-What a nice post today! What brought that on? Whatever the reason what a really sweet post. Right back at ya! And to what Nick said I couldn't agree more!
Ralph, your mother did a wonderful job! I love that you look up to her as a role model. As a mother, that means so much. Make sure she sees this post...it will mean the world to her.
Wow... Debra, I love this post. Thank you for sending me a link to read it. However, comment number four disturbs me because this person obviously has a Mother or this person wouldn't be here... Hmm... I may have to invite the rest of our bay-bays over here and have Club Chaos take a look at this.
Ralph, I shall send you an invitation to join CC. I really want you to hit edit and check off the Club Chaos group box after you do so I can feature this over there. I'm thinking this discussion may be mad fun... My Mom is coming for a visit and we will be blogging together after the 15th. Will playfully high-jack you later after I return from the gym and more of my Activepeeps are awake to join the pending discussion (LOL). ;-)
Gregg, what a wonderful post, thank you. Debra sent me here too, and I am glad she did. Although.... comment number 4, I tend to think he is just screwing around. Or should check his tires as Nick said. LOL. Anyway, tell your mother from me thank you. She did a great job!
Women are feminists, LOLOL, now THAT is funny. DUH! I will be lauhing about that for the day!
Ralph...
It's funny you'd write this. I have 33 year old identical twin Boys Men. The other day, one of my Sons was giving me crap. I told him if he didn't knock it off, I'd take back the "X" I gave him and turn him into a girl :)
By the way, do you have any idea what it must have been like for me living in a home as the only female? Waaaaaaaaaaay too much testosterone. I have to admit though, there's so many things they took the time to teach me. Would you like me to come change the oil in your car? Or how about a tune up? On the house :)
TLW...ROAR!
Greg...
Are you a married man?
TLW...ROAR!
Greg, nice post and shout out to the women. I like it that you noted that all of us can be less than charming and all of us (men or women) can be a nice as we choose to be.
Ralph:
Wow - it was worth tuning in today just to read this. You have expressed some very nice sentiments here. (And, true ones)
I absolutely love men - they are wonderful! But, they do need women around them for so many reasons. And, I think you have worded it perfectly.
Morning Ralph, how insightful of you to recognize your Mother's great attributes! Love reading this, thank you for starting my day off on a good note.
@TLW...I'm in hysterics reading your response to your son, priceless!
Is today Mother's Day?? :) Thank you! You made my day.
I needed this light today! Thank you for this caring and very sweet post.
What a lovely post Ralph. You have an awesome Mother. Congratulations to her. You are also a stand up man for sure. You felt the need for something to be said and went out and said it. You just put smiles on a lot of women's faces today.
Ralph - Flattery will get you everywhere. My first thought was that maybe you got in trouble with your wife and this blog was your punishment. LOL No matter the reason, it was beautiful and I'm glad you wrote it. Have a great day!
Ralph,
Well said. There have been many times where I have been especially thankful for women in the business world. They often times bring qualities to the table that tend to create more balance, and that are more conducive to a productive environment.
Here's to you ladies, cheers!
Be well,
Brendan Winans
Ralph,
Such a heart-warming post!! I'm sure your mother would be proud (and is proud of who you are)!! :) My 13 yr. old son and I are very close. He will often say out loud what I am thinking inside...so much so that it is almost scary!! :) I have told him he will make a wonderful husband someday...if he chooses to marry. The girls at school all love and respect him...because he is respectful and courteous towards them.
Thanks again for the encouraging words!!
Ralph, What a beautiful post to see this morning! thank you. :o)
Weird post. An ode to women everywhere. What made you profess you love so broadly and publicly?
Aaron, if you consider it to be a weird post, then I probably can't explain it to you, buddy.
Sometimes you just need to stop and tell people how much you love them and appreciate them, and let them know how critically essential they are to your life.
And at times, it may be having to do it in the face of being ridiculed or being considered "weird".
Hopefully you'll get it someday.
Ralph, and it's not even Mother's Day.. How nice. I'm so glad that I read this today..
What a GREAT way to get comments :) It's like a college guy taking a puppy on campus... Just kidding. I truly appreciated the appreciation - Cheers!
Greg, I can tell you love your mother very, very much, and she is truly a good woman. My mother had 12 children, 5 boys and 7 girls. Dad always said girls were harder to raise....but loved us so much. My parents are now deceased, and 10 children surviving....I know you enjoy every minute you are with your mother.
Thanks for such a heartfelt post.
Featured @ Club Chaos
TO Aaron....you stated" What made you profess your love so broadly and publicly?" Perhaps you should reread the post again....v e r y s l o w l y......
His love for his mother and appreciation of women... get it.
You're welcome!
BTW, I think you're kinda great, too, Ralph.
Thank you!!
My Mom is coming for a visit and this is just such an awesome post. Can't wait to show it to her. I'm posting a link in Facebook now so my brother can find it. My family tends to read me when they are at his house. Facebook is always their first stop. :-)
I find it amazing that some people don't get this... I can be pretty quirky and jaded, but I got this right away. I love telling the people I love that I do indeed love them. The cool thing about blogging about the people you love is it honors them. Why don't people get that?
I adore this post and just told 844 people about it. So there. :-)
Ralph, WOW. I had to read this twice. You have just made your Mother one proud woman. I can tell she did an amazing job raising her family. Thank you SO much for your wonderful words. Thanks :)
Ralph - you are a gem. But I'm sorry to have to be the one to tell you I think you're about to find yourself in a lunch - hijack! Get ready - because we're going to come and CAMP on your wonderful post!
I'm quite certain this is a joke, but just in case...Road trip girls! Pack your bags and bring eggs, and something to let the air out of a few tires. Meet me at Greg's office, LOL.
Greg's quote was:
That's pathetic Ralph. Not that many women aren't great, but they're also mostly feminists. They all should be in their kitchens and raising kids, not taking good jobs away from strong and able men.
Hello bay-bays. Nice to see you could make it. ;-)
ERCG, isn't this cool? I would love to meet his mother if I ever wandered over into his neck of the woods. I'm looking forward to showing off my Mom when she gets here. Can't wit to take her to see some of my fave Rainers. :-)
Hi Lee and Pam. :-)
I'm mostly with you, but to quote James Bond, "there was this girl in Philadelphia..."
WHAT . . . a lovely sentiment. RALPH!! You sweetie . . . YOU! You have all of us felines females blushing big time today! WAY to start off our Monday a.m.'s!!
I have to debate, if you don't mind. First, it is my son who actually has the peace that passes all understanding. I run street rat crazy, so my diplomacy would be very short and to the point. I WOULD press the button!
That said . . . can I hang out with your Mom!? I lost mine when I was 15, and really, really want a nice Mom to hang with!
C Tann high-jacked your post, but I'm so glad she did. THANKS!!
KISSES!!
Hi Ralph, your post made me feel great, and I would love to know my son was as proud of me as you are of yours.
By the way......C sent me over here and I'm glad she did!
CTS-This is one of the best posts I've ever read. Random and gracious! I'm so glad you sent me over to comment! Is your Mom moving in with you? *mwa*
Hi Carla. Being a button pushing in your face kinds gal I understand completely (LOL). I'm trying to raise my two little minions to be sweetie pies and it isn't easy. My boys are crazy... ;-)
Ahhhhhhhhhh
One small step for mankind. LOVE YOU, Greg.
Hi Ralph, Your mom raised a good kid ! You done good mom !
Hi Ann, glad you could make it. I figured you guys would enjoy this just as much as I did. :-)
ERCG, Mom isn't moving in but I will be picking her up from the next county over every day. She's staying with close friends of the family and we're all excited because it's been a few years since my parents came up to New York. :-)
Deborah, I second that. In spades (LOL). ;-)
Bill, I agree completely. :-)
I wonder if Ralph has ever been to a 'jacking before?
Obviously, your mom did a really good job, Ralph. As a mom myself, I certainly hope my son will feel this way about me. He's a teenager right now, so I don't think it will happen soon. I love men but have never wanted to be one. I'm quite happy being a woman. Especially when I read something as wonderful as this post. You made my Monday start off cheery, my dear. Thank you.
Hi C -- with your Mom in route, maybe I'll just hang with you guys?!? Don't get me wrong, my son has his moments. But, he really is the cool, calm, collected one on the family.
I agree with ERCG -- random and gracious.
Ann, you make it sound . . . naughty!
Ralph,
I knew if I lived long enough I would find a man who knows what he is talking about! :)
"Women, it does not EVEN matter what race, religion, sexual orientation, height, weight, you may be.
You are all such beautiful beings.
You rock, and blow me away with the qualities you have that us males will probably never have."
Ralph - what a nice way to acknowledge ALL the wonderful "Ladies" of this world. Your Mom must be very proud!! :-)
That's great CTS! I'm excited for you!
HEY ANN! I'm headed your way in 5...going to the summit to drop a few bucks, lol.
Behave girls! I will be back this evening to see what you all tore up and to clean house, LOL. Carry on girls :)
Ralph, thanks for making my day, as I'm taking this post personally. It's men like you that make us women a pleasure to be around. If a woman is "not so nice' you can bet the man next to her isn't either.
Have a great week.
Ann, good observation... I have no idea (LOL). Does this mean I have to be gentle? Perish the thought (LMAO). I've been waiting to do this all morning. I want a good high-jacking. I don't do lukewarm well (LOL). ;-)
Awe, that was so darn sweet. Thanks for such a nice post!
Kathy
Carla, we would never be naughty!
Carolyn.... Thanks for the invite to this post.
Okay - so admit girls, the first thing you did was click on his profile to see if he's married! No MENTION! Whooppie!
Hey Ann . . . Wink, wink . . . LOL . . . and that's why Ralph loves us so much!! I know . . .
Hi Heather. I started my day with this post Deb sent me a link and it was just wonderful. I hope my boys feel the same way about me when they get older as well. :-)
Carla, I bet my Mom would just love you. She is still trying to figure out how a simple woman with simple needs could have created such a complicated daughter (LMAO). My brother and sister are pretty tame compared to me. They missed the insane gene (ROTFL). Is this middle child syndrome or what? :-)
Oh snap! Just read what Eleanor T wrote. Ralph, you have got to paste a Facebook link in the comments section somewhere so we can fan and friend you (LOL).
LOL...
It's been a very long time since we threw a Monday RainJack party.
Boy Ralph, you're in for such a treat and I'm sure a trick or two :)
Minds out of the gutter people. It was a play on Halloween.
TLW...ROAR!
Very nice Ralph ~ And it is not even mother's day!!
LMAO @ TLW. Hello Mama! Can't wait to see you in Dec when we come down for a visit. Mikey is putting new tires on the car and getting a tune up done. Getting ready to invade KY and TX in a few days. Decided to drive so I can visit with Rainers along the way. Will keep you guys posted when I invade a state. :-)
ERCG, I may have to head over to the Summit and find you.......I love spending money on rainy days! Be careful driving down, there have been lots of accidents this morning.
Ralph- good for you to have such a great attitude. I hope your mom reads this, she'll be very proud. I don't know what the heck is wrong is with Grege and Aaron, but I guess you were right some men are complete jackasses. And I have to agree some women don't deserve your praise (there are days I fit into that category, but most of the time I behave myself)
LOL @ Brenda H. What a significant statement, girlfriend! :-D
Brad, that was mad cool, eh? What a sweetie pie. :-)
ERCG, I do believe we are going to be hooking up in NC next month. E-mail me which hotel you're staying at and maybe I'll book it too. Haven't picked one yet for REBarCamp in Nov. I really do need to pick one, eh?
I'm not defending Gregg -- but I think he's made an attempt at "humour" because NO ONE in their right might would say anything like that, and be SERIOUS about it. So I think he was trying to be "funny" -- and GUESS WHAT Gregg, it's very quiet in the audience.
We need a song :)
TLW...ROAR!
GOOD TLW!! You are the OFFICIAL AR DJ!
That ain't the way . . .
OR . . . is it?!?
Ann, Carla, naughty is relative... (LMAO). You can have a wonderfully wide spectrum to operate in with subjective words if you are very careful (ROTFL). ;-)
Hahahahaaaaaaa! Great song Mama!!!!
Wow - a Monday jacking - what a great way to start the week!
Ralph - my Dad's middle name is Ralph and the two men in my life (my Dad and husband) both support feminists.
Off to work. Be back this afternoon. TLW and CTS - have fun 2day!
This post, and all the CC comments following it are awesome... :)
Hey Lori! Glad you could make it. I shall be lurking here for the rest of the day between appointments. I'm hanging with the wee people while the car is in the shop getting ready for my next AR Road Trip. TLW is right. We haven't high-jacked a blog on a Monday in a while... I may need to dust off the group e-mail button more often. ;-)
Loved the post and a big thank you to C Tann-Starr for the jacking email!
I think perhaps this will rate you a call from "The Bachelorette" maybe?
Raloh, Why thank you very much. I must say my mother taught me that the way a man treats his mother shows basically how he will treat his wife and I have found that to be true. That comment #4 makes my blood boil.
Dixie
Carla, I see your point. Hmm... just didn't initially take it that way when I first read #4. Still kinda don't but shall behave because it is such a beautiful post. No blog wars today (maybe tomorrow - LOL). :-)
It may not be Mother's Day or your wife's birthday or even Valentine's Day - but of course, that's WHY it was such a great time to say it. Good job Ralph. I am always saying how sad it is that we reserve such outbursts for "appointed" days. Although.... it IS Thanksgiving today here in Canada - so perhaps you felt our vibe!!
Bruce, very cool. Enjoy the Canadian Thanksgiving! :-)
How colorful everyone!!! Thanks for making a great start to a Monday! I can feel the love....
Dick and Dixie, I initially had a virtual cow when I read that... then I thought, oh well... this too shall pass. Enjoying Ralph is a better ticket than bickering about the intentions of the commenter's thought. Sometimes I find I have to pick and choose my battles carefully when playing in the Rain. Not messing with Gregg and sharing Ralph seemed the better deal. :-)
OMG - Mikey just called about the car. I have been flying around NY with a busted axle. What does that mean? Dang. My bill just went up to over 5oo bucks and here I thought I was just buying tires, changing the oil and getting a tune up. Now the front of my car is off (LOL). Geez... I guess I'm not going to work today (LMAO).
Dee, what a very interesting thought. Hmm... (LOL)
Hi Kelly! A love fest is alwys nice, especially in the Rain. ;-)
Hi Ralph. This is a refreshing post though it makes me laugh. ~ Lana
C Tann-Starr let me know about this post, and I am glad I came by. Great Post!
Kristina, I second that. I'm having a very nice visit with the bay-bays today. :-)
Today's an expensive day for me too C! Having to get rain gutters -- talk about my mind being in one! HA . . . The Active Rain Gutter -- my new GROUP! ROTFLMAO.
RE #4 -- I'm telling you . . . I WOULD push the button!! So I have to play nice sometimes, and give people the benefit.
Lana, you should stick around. The comments are going to get very interesting. They usually do when we get together live to socialize and high-jack a post (LOL).
Hi Heather. Glad you could make it. I am happy you enjoyed Ralph's work. It is an awesome post, indeed. :-)
Great post! The way you talk about your mom is the reason why I created PositiveMommies.com
"Always positive, always supportive, never negative". No wonder she raised a fantastic son. I work on myself so my daughters talk about me like that and help others create that kind of experience and opportunities for their kids.
God bless you, Ralph!
[The Active Rain Gutter -- my new GROUP! ROTFLMAO.]
Ooo I wanna be in that group! Can we play handball there? (wink)
Hahahahahaaaaaaaaa! The ActiveRain Gutter! Carla, I like that. Go form the group. I wanna join! Seriously! I just got such a flash of creativity when you said that. OMG - too funny!!! I am cracking up drafting a blog post already! You know how easily amused I am... :-D
Wordy C - Thank you for the invite. You are amazing. You must be a woman LOL
Elayna, my love! How are you? I have sooo gotta post something new in your group. It's been a while. I'm cooking something new up. Carla and Candice have inspired me (ROTFL). Now that I am car-less I shall have to amuse myself during down time until I get that puppy back from the shop. Hmm... Wonder what we're going to do today, eh? (LOL)
Wordy C on womanhood? A new PMS series (LOL) ;-)
Carla, make the group and send me a link!!! Candice and I will definitely be populating that puppy with posts tonight (LMAO). Mine may be a wee bit quirky, but hey... wouldn't be me if it weren't (LMAO).
Well golly gee. I sure do feel special now. lol You should have saved this one for Mother's Day. But seriously, this is just a really cool post. You rock! =)
Elayna, you are very welcome, sweetie pie. I am glad you could make it. I love throwing virtual par-tays with my bay-bays. :-)
Hi Ralph,
What a sweet post....you totally made my day! You know, men aren't so bad either. :)
What a lovely post Ralph, I am so glad C sent us all over here!
Lisa H!!! Hello lovely. :-)
Greg - I'll be sure to never send anyone your way for anything EVER! What a ridiculous comment and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way. You're on a fast track to exile from any potential referrals from women on AR. *shaking head*
Ralph - Sorry I had to just get that off my chest. I am not sure what inspired you to write such a nice post, but it was awesome. The feeling is mutual!
Coleen, not so bad indeed. I'm addicted to the hubby. Even when he's bad (LOL). We all know how i feel about the little minions (LMAO). ;-)
Chris, I agree, a lovely post indeed. :-)
Ralph, whatever possessed you to post this, it certainly has gotten lots of attention. I agree with many here, that your mom did a great job of raising you and must be terribly proud of you. My daughter-in-law tells me that my son is sensitive to the problems of being a working mom. I like and am proud of my son, too.
To Gregg and Aaron: Where would you be without a woman in your life? You'd be dressed poorly, underfed and under nourished; and a bundle of un-expended hormones without them! Live's got to be tough for you. Best of luck, dudes.
Christianne, I did promise myself I would bite my tongue, so thank you (Hahahahahaaaa!!!!). Wonder who else is going to write something similar to what I'm thinking. Hmm... I thought all sorts of thoughts... Oh snap. Am I being bad? I said I'd leave #4 alone. Hmm... maybe just a wee bit naughty (LOL).
Marianne, so far I have refrained from messing with Aaron. Hmm... didn't promise I'd leave him alone so... :-D
Ralph- print and frame this for your mom! What is it they say? If you want to know how a man will treat his wife (and family) watch how he treats his mother. You've put a smile on a lot of faces.
C- thanks for directing us to this post.
Don't forget to read the post by Brad Andersohn's wife about their anniversary. I've already shown it to my husband.
Gosh, C...I'm not that diplomatic. I feel sorry for the guy. I'd rather highjack his blog with comments that make clear what's he missing out on.
Ralph what is your moms address I'm sure all of us would like to send her a card and I'm sure she'd love to be acknowledged for her accomplishment.
....and sorry but Greggs post just makes me laugh, good luck buddy!
Hey C, Count me in when you come to Orlando. I want in on the party.
Because my husband only called his mother if I told him to and because I picked out my mother-in-law's gifts and because my mother did the shopping for her mother-in-law...I made a decision when my son was born...I told my husband that I wanted my son to understand that it was his responsibility to pick out my cards and gifts. My husband took him to the store at a very young age and we instilled that concept into the little guy. When he got married I wanted him to understand that it was very important to me that it was not his wife's responsiblilty to pick out my gifts.
They may not be wrapped, and there may not always be a card, but the gifts I receive from him, I know came from his heart.
This post is from the heart, and any mother would consider it a wonderful gift.
Ralph, this was too off-subject for me to write, but I am in agreement with you 1000%. You stole my blog!!
I'm a male living on this planet 40+ years, a single father with two sons, and I think exactly the way you do. I specifically remember the first days of custody with my boys, asking, "How do they (women) do it? OMG, this is HARD!!"
Thank G-d for women. I don't mind saying out loud, wherever, whenever, that I always prefer working with women in this business than men. In my opinion, they are MORE organized, MORE thoughtful, LESS confrontational, MORE professional, MORE thorough, MORE trustworthy, and the list goes on....
Is it really any wonder that women are kicking men's *sses in law, business (when allowed to compete), medicine (!!!), real estate, music, finance, and the arts? The answer is 'no'. They deserve it. They just 'get it'.
I'm a lucky guy and have had wonderful relationships in my life with women from every background. I've learned more than I can remember from female attorneys, doctors, therapists, healers, and others. They've all had such positive impacts on my life. And yes, my mother was the first to teach me the most important rule in life, "There are no such words as "I give up. They simply don't exist.'"
Many years ago, I lived in another country that was/is notorious for double standards in pay for women, the infamous 'glass ceiling', and overall male chauvinism. I learned that if you cannot accept women competing with you in every aspect of life, you are not a man.
My best friend used to say to me, "Scotty, we're tough guys. We don't have a female side." This may be true, maybe I don't have a femme-side, but it doesn't stop you and me from appreciating everything that's good, kind and GREAT with women.
This is the least they deserve!
Scott Miller, Realty Associates, Boca (sexy) Raton
Ah Ha...
I found it :)
TLW...ROAR!
Kathy S, please, please, please e-mail me a link. I missed that post. Definitely would love to read it. :-)
LOL @ Marianne. Alas, I promised a truce and will instigate no blog wars today (maybe tomorrow - LOL). ;-)
Heather Adkinson ROCKS! What a stellar idea. Mad cool. :-)
Judy, very cool and will do. We will be staying in Palm Bay and Orlando is approximately an hour and fifteen minutes away. Looking forward to meeting you in real life. I'm also hoping to see the Miamism crew in Miami. I love Inez! We're going to be running amuck up and down I-95. It's my fave thing to do and a 20 year habit. Now I blog and my habits are taking on a whole new dimension (LOL). :-)
Scott Miller, you friggin' ROCK. What a stellar comment. Very much impressed. :-)
Done . . . and DONE!
http://activerain.com/groups/activeraingutter
GROUP LOGO . . .
Heather,
Wow. She'd love it.
You can send them to my office and I'll hand deliver them to her!!
The response to this post has been totally unexpected.
I was just kind of wanting to send some good energy out there and it's been overwhelming.
Very cool.
Methinks Ralph enjoys being high-jacked. Yay! Welome to Club Chaos bay-bay (LOL). ;-)
OMG - Carla You ROCK!!!!! We are soooo gonna have fun over there later.
Aww man... Stephen the Blur Minion discovered how to snap my key caps off the laptop. Bummer. I'm trying to find the tiny little black tiles so I can snap them all back into place (LOL). Friggin' kid... Are all three year olds this destructive curious? Poor Noah was watching a move on the Amazon Unbox while Mikey-Minnie-Me sat there next to him disassembling the Toshiba... How could I forget the fact the quiet equls disaster in the making in my house? Dude didn't tell me it was broken until Step made his movie disappear (LMAO). Dang. Kids... Ya gotta love 'em (ROTFL).
Carla, just posted your group as a link in Facebook. This should get very interesting. Will be posting over there later (Hahahahahaaaaa). I gotta call Candyland (LOL). Candice is mad fun! :-)
Ralph...
I do hope you enjoy this. You can't put up a post like this and not expect one of Ladies In The Rain to flag it for feature status. From there it was just a matter of time before The Ladies RainJacked it. It's nice seeing this side of you. I mean really, who knew? :)
WayWard Child (CTann)...
We are all looking forward to your visit. I can't think of anything I'd rather do than to sit down and pick through what goes on in that brain of yours. You have one of the most interesting brains I've ever encountered and I've encounter a lot of them. Speaking of encounter, if you're driving you must bring your weapon collections :)
TLW...ROAR!
Oooooo, TLW, I would love too! I have a bunch of old bullets that I need to get rid of. Mama, you want to go to the range? That would be an awesome FL excursion!!! I have to go to NYPD and check about the rules regarding the swords, but I know I can take the guns because they passed that federal law enforcement officers act in 2004 that lets us take our firearms across state lines. I keep my retirement shield in a special wallet with the gun permit so I don't have issues. (The bullets are tricky because certain states outlaw certain types of bullets). I will report back later after my NYPD visit to research the ammo issue and we can cook up some fun. :-)
By the way, TLW, are you sure you want to pick through the inner workings of an insane brain? We should write a blog post together after you examine me. How does Insane in the Rain strike you? Blog This indeed! (ROTFLMAO) Yup. It's true. I am soooo easily amused. Looking forward to our visit Mama. Wait until you meet your grand-minions. Oh my word... ;-)
I know I may be going out on a limb here, but...I'm just guessing that, if Gregg wasn't joking, he is most likely single. Just a guess!
Glad there are people like Ralph out there to appreciate what women have to offer.
Ralph - Great post, different but interesting. You just made our day. Thank you!
WayWard...
We can always go ammo shopping :)
And yeah. You have yourself a date at the range. We'll get a video of you blowing me away. I'd wager your aim is better than mine :)
Carla...
I will be joining that group. Sometimes I write directly from my own little gutter :)
I've been disciplined for it before. Not to worry, I deserved it :)
TLW...ROAR!
Thats why I love working in Real Estate, I get to be around such awesome women all the time
This is such a nice post.....I appreciate men too....not necessarily males :)...but definately men. My sweet man just held down the fort at home so I could do a 11 day road trip.....that's my man!
Judi,
I've been very introverted when it comes to my feelings for most of my life, and I've found that being that way is a waste of life.
I've learned lately that when you have the opportunity to tell somone that you appreciate them and understand their life and any difficulties they are going through, you need to say it and not hold back.
I know that I certainly could have used that type of support at certain times in my life and wish that I had that in those moments. So maybe that was a major part of it.
No wife or other that I was trying to impress, so please just take what I wrote as the purest of intentions.
The minute you start to inject hidden agendas, then it takes away from the reason I wrote it.
Ralph, I'll be getting her a card later today....(I'll find something with a big hunky man) just kidding! I'll send it off to you!
Dang, ladies.
Club Chaos certainly did hijack this post! (in a good way).
I feel more like I've been hog-tied and ran up a flag pole!!
All good, though.
Peace..............
Ralph, it is all good! Just run and hide if someone mentions hot wax..........
LMAO @ Ann. Where is Sheldon? (ROTFL).
Sherry, Sherry, Sherry... I can't get that sticky pad out of my head. You do not what to know what I am imagining with those adhesives. Seriously (LOL).
Hi Roland! Please come to REBarCamp in NC. I have soooo gotta spend some quality time with you. :-)
Here's what we are all thinking about this post:
Awwwww...
Thank you Sherry Scales for saying what we gals are all thinking about Greg's comment. I checked out his blog to see if this was a joke and (gulp), I think he is serious.
What a great post! AND great comments! Smiling all the way today. I hope my boys think of me in a good light now that they're grown!
Ralph, When you're right, you're right! What more can I say?
Margaret, you went over there? Awwwww man. I have refrained from visiting. I don't trust myself not to go off (LOL).
Mama, I shall go without the ammo and we will buy some new ones together when we get there (LOL).
Hey Nellie. I know what you mean. I've been smiling all day. :-)
Carla, I am very happy to report my mind is in the virtual gutter. The ActiveRain Gutter is going to be mad fun (LOL). I've got house jokes... ;-)
I just never thought that paying someone to drip hot wax on my nether-regions and rip the hair out by the roots and then slap me to "take the pain away" was a good investment of my time and money. Call me crazy!
Hahahahahaaaaaaaa! Heather, some of my girlfriends swear by this (ROTFLMAO). I shall shut up now (LOL).
Heather...But in Gregg's case....It would be worth every dime!!!
Okey Dokey Then...
Those last few remarks earned the logo :)
For those of you who don't know any better, the AR RainJack logo is not up for grabs. It was designed by Hubba (Jeff Turner) and given to me as a gift.
TLW...ROAR!
At the office but found a minute to comment...and I think this one is worthy to send to my husband. lol. He's not so publicly inclined but he is the man who puts me on a pedastal....when I deserve it :)
You truly showed your true colors here....and that in itself is worthy of being a great human being!
Moms are wonderful for sure. I enjoyed this psot today.
Patricia/Seacoast NH
What a nice post! It is always good to feel appreciated.
Is it too late to register for REBarCamp? I think I need to be there!
Men like Ralph are few and far between. Cheerish him! Ralph if you aren't married....do you want to be? LOL!
Ann, it is never to late to register for REBarCamp. Come play with me in NC bay-bay! :-)
Sherry, are you asking what I think you are asking? Is there some matchmaking afoot? Hmm...
Okay. Time for me to get the car from the shop. Yay! Will pop in later and continue to play. Carry on ladies and gentlemen. :-)
Every lady in AR needs to give you a hug for being man enough to recognize that women make your life easier. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!! You ROCK Mister!!
;)

;)
Betina...
In our very own strange way, we did :)
TLW...ROAR!
C- My husband told me I am not allowed to marry up. LOL! But I know some women who could use a man like Ralph!
You are right that you men would not be here without women, but not because they blew each other up, but because there were no women to give them birth!!
I second Betina and TLW. Sherry too funny! I figured you did, which is why I made the matchmaking crack (LOL). ;-0
As for me, I know man-eaters so I wouldn't dare enter the matchmaking arena (LOL). I am sooo not qualified. Of course, if he's in the market for an Alpha Female Man-eater we can have a new and very interesting conversation later on tonight (LMAO). My PMS girlfriends kick a$$... (ROTFL) We are dangerous pranksters together (LOL). You have to be one tough cookie to come hang out and play with the happily insane. ;-)
Sybil ROCKS! She gets the which came first the chicken or the egg award!!! Yay! It appears we can't do without each other people.
Play nice in the electronic sandbox. Running out the door. Got a client pickup to make. Hubby brought the car home. Yay! This chicka is mobile for the blog yall. ;-)
Regarding post #4 Gregg Wynn wrote: That's pathetic Ralph. Not that many women aren't great, but they're also mostly feminists. They all should be in their kitchens and raising kids, not taking good jobs away from strong and able men.

Because of testosterone men do tend to be physically stronger than women but your comments make me doubt your discretionary judgment. It is also because women have less testosterone that they don't resort to fisticuffs to resolve issues.
I have fought for equal rights my entire adult life. You just prove that the battle is NOT over. Both genders should receive equal pay for equal work.
It is about CHOICE, working and/or staying home. Parenting is a VERY important role which should be SHARED by both genders.
Gregg, with a statement like you wrote I am not surprised you post NO picture of yourself. You might be stoned in the town square for your attitude if we could identify you.
With the stroke of a pen or a conversation women resolve matters. I am a proud strong woman willing to risk alienation for my principles! I am capable of making a difference in this world, in the community, at the workplace AND at home. There are LOTS of us.
Sadly, a woman gave birth to someone that grew up disliking and disrespecting females. My fervent wish for someone that hates women so much is that he is NEVER, EVER within five feet of any woman again in his life. Do read into this.
Women with self-confidence don't waste their time with men with attitudes like yours.
~ Linda Alexander
I found a photo of Gregg
Ralph, this was lovely. It's hard not to be biased, as I am obviously a woman, but I think that women bring all of the softness and warmth into the world and truly make it go around. Oh, it would go around without us, I'm sure, but it would be a cold, dark place. Thank you for the tribute to all of us and especially to your mom.
Gregg, eat poop and vomit on your shoes. Coming from an Italian hot head, that is as mild a curse I could put on you. Aaron, you only asked a question so I'm not putting the curse on you. I am bestowing the blesssing of wisdom and hopefully someday the intimate knowledge of the love and hope your children will find in the arms of a mom.
What a lovely blog Ralph. Isn't amazing how much positive energy your appreciation and honestly has created? What a wonderful way to begin the week. Well done and thank you.
The first woman ever won a Nobel prize for economy. She wasn't permitted to take calculus or trig in high school because she was a girl.
Whoa, this dude sounds like he's just trying to get laid. Yuk!
Ralph, Ralhp, Rahylp, what are you drinking man? Stop writing stuff like that! I acknowledge that what you wrote is right... about 80-90+ %,right, but putting in in writing is not a good idea, my wife has printed your blog post and put a copy of it on the bathroom, on the refrigerator, in the garage... and praises your name all over. Ralph says this, Ralph says that... Dude, keep stuff like this reserved for Mother's Day only! so the rest of us can have some peace!
Antonio
Ralph Gorgoglione, (lots of syllables) you sound like a great guy – and HANDSOME too!
When Anita Hill accused Clarence Thomas of sexual harassment that was MY call to action. (1991) I got involved with a woman’s group.
I stood up in the room and stated, “If women want equality they MUST raise their boys and girls the same. Boys should be taught to take NO for an answer and girls should NEVER resort to a compliant smile.
All tasks should be shared and education should be attained by both.”
Your mother sounds like a great woman. Thank her for raising such a nice man. Her parenting techniques make this world a better place for all.

PS – ‘eh, spicy meat ‘a balls! Just a little flirting.
To #158 - Betina . . . I'd like to thank Ralph from the bottom of my BUTT -- it's so much bigger then my heart!
;-)
Wasn't this a nice blog!
Sorry I missed all the fun - work got in the way - I'm back. Thought I'd bring this along....
I'm sure we can stuff it with love letters for this dear gent can't we ladies?
What a wonderful way to show your appreciation! Thank you Ralph for your authenticity and ability to stand as a man and say Thank you!
As for Ralph and Greg, I think both are lonely old men....so sad, but so evident why.......Nice picture Sherry! I think it covers both of them!
For Gregg:
What a great tribute to your mother and women in general. I only hope my boys one day will think of me the same way...well, even if they don't, I'll bookmark this in order to remind them how they REALLY should feel about me...and women in general!
Great post Ralph and the best to your mother!
It appears that I gave Aaron the benefit of the doubt in error. Eat poop and vomit on your side of the bed.
:-)
ROTFLMO @ Susan. I love you. I really, really do. ;-)
Ralph, My mother died in 1977 or I'd think you must be my brother because we had the same mother. I have a wonderful husband but I must say that the significant other in your life is very lucky. Thanks for all the accolades for we gals.

If we move to Utah, women get to be the head of the household and we both convert to Mormonism (I've been there once before when I was a little kid), I'd love to make you my brother-husband (as opposed to sister-wife), Ralph. And, I second Susan's comment about Aaron (#180).
Thanks for the kind words. I will pass this along to those I know who need a little pick up ... Aloha ~ Yvonne
Ralph, aside from all the hijack comments, I have had the same theory about women that they save the men from blowing the world up or going extinct. But don't discount men's pluses too like climbing mountains and risking their lives to go to the moon and such. Then again, some of the firsts in life too are done by women, so I really think each gender has its pluses. We balance each other out in many ways..
Ralph - Thanks for the kind words and the recognition!
WOW . . . what a post to get the AR blogosphere all stirred up! Thanks for the Monday smiles!
I must give some love in return, however, and say that some of my greatest lessons (and favorite memories) have been spent with some very special boys. Whether they be the brothers who taught me womanly strength, my father who gave me pride and determination, or those life-long friends who bring me back to earth when I get a little too wrapped up in myself, they have a special place in the big picture as well. I love my girlfriends, but men need some love too :)
At any rate, THANKS for the little dose of kindness. It IS appreciated!
WoW... Looks like the Par-tay lasted way into the night. Ralph.. How does it feel to get highjacked by Carolyn ? She knows how to get the par-tay started.
C: I would love to come to REBarCamp in NC. I have NOT ruled it out. You never know....
Are you trying to be a playa here???LOL...
This was indeed a well thought out tribute to the more positive aspects of the fairer sex...
I have to echo your sentiments about your mom...mine is just simply the most amazing woman I know, and I wouldn't trade her for any other woman on this earth...I would consider myself blessed to have her wisdom and insight.
Ralph, as poster #197, everything I've wanted to say has been said over and over and over again...but in the spirit of being repetitious, that was a very sweet post and kudos to your mom for being such an awesome mom...to have a son like you! :)
Leilani
Roland, that would be mad cool. I am doing a social media wild card discussion. Wonder how wild I can get... I keep having this argument with the cartoons in my head. The right side of my brain is going "behave" while the left side keeps asking "why?" I have been laughing for two days while working on a DVD for this because people count on my mild quirky habit of periodically misbehaving. I'm going to love presenting this puppy (LOL).
Jessica Steele, what a lovely sentiment. I'm a Daddy's girl, although I drive both my parents crazy (LOL). :-)
I reread this again today and I stand by my original assessment. It's just a weird post. If this were put on ant other blog site and I wouldn't be alone in thinking it. But, hey, whatever makes you feel better. Hope someday you find your magic pill!
I am still scratching my head and wondering, "what in the world made him write and post that?"
Thanks though, kind of a nice way to start my morning, that and my cup of coffee will do me just fine this morning!
Graet words Ralph coulnt agree more.
"I am still scratching my head and wondering, "what in the world made him write and post that?""
I'm with Tiffany! However, I will totally take it. Where I sell, it's tough to be a woman and command respect. I have to beat down the door of the good ole boy network but I always win. Shy smile and then I've got them. Men, too easy! LOL
Lovely Post! I hope that my two little boys grow up to be as Respectful and appreciative of women as you seem to be :)! I think they are well on their way, they have me as their mommy, a great extended family & in my neck of the desert, they have the blessing of many sets of adopted grandparents. (I sell to a lot of retirees who get to know my little guys through the transaction & beyond:)!!
Thanks again and it isn't even Mothers Day! Sweet gesture!
Shark feeding frenzy.
Wow! Don't think I have ever seen a post with so much passion nor one that garnered so many responses! Ralph, you are unique and a blessing, but credit must be given from us ladies to you guys too. There would be no human civilization if there were only one sex so both sexes should be worshiped for what we are and appreciate the other. Each gender brings something different to a relationship whether it is parent/child, man/woman, etc. and we need to thank eachother. I am glad I was born a woman - it is what I know, but I would not be on this earth without a father and I had the best of the best - a true man, a gentle loving soul. Thank you again Ralph. You have made my day, and I have had a good cry as your post has really made me miss my mother (passed away 7 years ago at age 84) and my dad (18 years ago at age 81). If you haven't hugged your mom (wife, daughter, niece, grandchild, husband, dad, son etc.) today, do it before it is too late. I need to go home and make my Ralph an apple pie!
Ralph,
I am on my way back from San Diego in the Phoenix airport and they are getting ready to take off to Flagstaff. Your tribute to women made me feel the same way I did the first time I read a chicken soup for the soul book...... Except I didn't cry. Thanks for the shout!
Your friend in the Cosmic Cow Pie.
Come on, ladies! Seriously? You believe this nonsense? This dude is trolling for dates. A pure player. Come on -- GET REAL!
I too think the OP is looking for dates. I'm sure if he had a wife or a girlfriend, they may not appreciate his affection for his mom. Come on, at some point, a man has to grow up. It's one thing to appreciate women, it's another to worship them. I don't think all of the women that appreciated this post would want a husband like that. Come on, now, ladies. If your husband said that his mom is the best in the world and they don't ever want to upset their mommy.... would you think that you have a great husband?
Btw, OP, do you still live with your mom?
Thank you for such a beautiful and kind post. Maybe thier is a reason we carry children around in our bodies for 10 months. Yes ten not nice!
"Private - Male",
It would be so easy for me to hit the "delete" link on your post.
But I'm not going to do that.
I'm going to leave it there. On purpose.
That should be recourse enough.
It's like you've never gotten out of high school in your head.
Geez, a few of you dudes just don't get it. I have no problem with my self confidence to be able to make a public statement about how he empathizes and appreciates the opposite sex for what they are, what they go through, what they aspire to be.
The post was not intended to be some slobbering worship to women. Just a simple "I hear you", "I appreciate you", "I understand what you go through", and "I love you"
Hey, men need that sometimes too. We all do. Hell, maybe I should write another post for men, would that help?!!
I have no problem making a public statement to women saying "you're part of the reason I am the man that I am today".
Just give up some propers to them, dude. It's not asking very much. You're not any less of a man for doing so. You're more of one for doing so.
And for God's sake, if you're going to make a statement, don't make yourself out to be a sniveling coward by hiding behind an anonymous alias name like "Private Male".
I honestly don't know why I've wasted my time even acknowledging your comment. I guess it's because I don't want you stealing any of the women's rightful enjoyment of my recognition to them. You're probably a 12-year old kid or something, right?
I'm not looking for dates, I'm not looking for google juice, I'm not looking to score points with a wife or girlfriend, I'm not looking for anything.
Some of the women on here commented on how my post made them cry. That's great. Why? Because that tells me someone hit their heart of hearts and told them "I get it", "I understand what you do and why you do it, how you've given your love to me unconditionally, and I thank you and love you for that".
Ladies, if you're reading this, please just take my post for what is was intended for: A gracious thank you.
Don't let any of these Bozos take that away from you.
To C, TLW, & Andrea-You Girls Rock! You did not disappoint! You brought a post the recognition it deserved and we now have a new group too! LMAO After sending the initial emails I couldn't get back here for a few days and look what I missed ! LOL
