Enjoy a fantastic adventure at Point Dume in Malibu, California!

Point Dume is a long bluff that formed along the Northern end of the Santa Monica Bay. It was named by George Vancouver in 1793.

Mr. Vancouver named Point Dume in honor of Padre Francisco Dumetz of Mission San Buenaventura.

Point Dume is the best place to see the California gray whales swimming and playing in the sea during the migration season from December thru March!

There is a trail that leads to an ancient coastal bluff sand dune.

There you can surf, picnic, swim and just have a great day in the sun!

You can even visit the historical Adamson House located at Malibu Lagoon State Beach and is a showplace for amazing Malibu artifacts. 

Adjacent from the Adamson House is the Malibu Lagoon Museum where you can take a tour and visit.

Don’t forget to stop by the Malibu Pier and do some saltwater fishing or even go bird watching for your nature entertainment!
