What is your "WHY"? Do you even have one?

What is your "WHY"? Do you even have one?

Very often, we find ourselves churning and burning, doing what it takes to keep the money coming in.  And many times the constant struggle brings us to a burn-out point where we need to chill, ponder and re-charge in order to keep going.

What I've observed is that most of those who really seem like they're the Energizer Bunny when it comes to being a total unstoppable die-hard in their career have something that others don't:  A "Why"

By that, I mean:  Why do they get up every morning and continue to fight the good fight?

What makes them so motivated and unstoppable?

Upon further observation, I've found that many people's "Whys" include some of the following:

1. Children
2. Family
3. Vacation goals
4. Desire to purchase something substantial
5. A means of financing another "dream" business

Nonetheless, the most motivated "Whys" are VERY specific.  In other words, the highest acheivers don't have "Whys" that sound like "wanting to make alot of money" or "trying to get ahead".

With that being said, do YOU truly have a "Why"?  Have you even thought about it?  Is your "Why" very specific, or very vague?

Examples of some very specific "Whys" are:

1. "I want to buy a condo in Hawaii by 2013"
2. "I want to send my child to the University of Texas"
3. "I want to have $100,000 in the bank to open my dream restaurant"
4. "I want to take a vacation to Italy in the summer of 2012"
5. "I want to buy my mom a new car in 2012"
6. "I want to pay for my dad's health insurance every month"

To be honest, once I realized that I did not really have a specific "Why", I knew something was wrong.  So I've started tapping into my true "Why" and almost overnight things changed.  Everything I did was done with so much more conviction and drive.  It's a very powerful thing!

Stop to think about it and decide for yourself.  Write the specifics of your "Why" down on paper (not a computer screen) and see if you can tap into your "Why".

Do you find yourself not being able to be specific?  Do you find yourself saying many times "Why do I do this?"

If so, then......
