Hey all of you wonderful “Green Peeps” that live in the Los Angeles County, I am sure that many of you have already heard about the “Plastic Bag Ban" that has taken place in many of the grocery and retail stores, that took effect on July 1, 2011 all around the unincorporated areas of the Los Angeles County!
If you haven’t heard the GREEN news that is buzzing all around in the grocery stores and big retail stores including Walmart, well then here it is, large supermarkets, pharmacies and retail chains are not allowed to distribute plastic bags to its consumers in the unincorporated areas of the Los Angeles County.
Consumers can still have their groceries and goods bagged in paper bags at of course, 10 cents a bag!
This new ban will hopefully help with our precious environment and keep our Los Angeles communities looking clean as a whistle!
However, the Plastic Bag Ban is not the only way to help keep the plastic bag dilemma down, check out the many ways each of us can help preserve our awesome planet: http://dpw.lacounty.gov/epd/aboutthebag/getinvolved.cfm
