As many of you know, Los Angeles has so many historical buildings as well as interesting ones too!

Take a moment of silence at the Silent Movie Theater in Los Angeles, California.

We live in an era where we have CGI and special effects for our theater entertainment! We have some of the best surround sound in the entertainment industry as well.

However, before we had all of this new wonderful technology, there was the Silent Movie era!

The Silent Movie Theater was opened in 1942 by Mr. John Hampton.

Mr. Hampton opened the theater in hopes that he could bring joy to people with these forgotten movies, during the Great Depression even though the Silent Movie era ended 15 years prior.

Today the Silent Movie Theater is a revival theater that features a variety mix of recent movies with sound. Once a week, they still show silent movies with live music for your entertainment!
