The United States Postal Service will be collecting bags of non-perishable food items in their mission to STAMP OUT HUNGER nationwide this Saturday, May 14, 2011!
If you would like to help, all you have to do is leave a bag of non-perishable food items at your mailbox and your mail carrier will pick it up for you. The U.S.P.S. will deliver the collected items to the local food bank in each city.
Hunger does not have a preference of whom it chooses! Yes, I am aware that there is hunger all over the world. However, right here in the United States our homeland, hunger is right under our noses!
There are children that go to bed without a single meal within a day or maybe more, there are people from all walks of life that go hungry right here in our own homeland.
While each day, we wake up going on with our lives, there are those that are just trying to figure out what or even how they are going to eat for that day and the next.
What we take for granted, there are those that are just happy to be alive each day.
