I cannot believe how many people are calling the current health care bill's incorporation of a government sponsored option for people "socialism" or worse yet "communism".
What about the term "monopoly"?? Which is what the current health care providers and pharmaceutical industry has in our country.
Providing a government subsidized OPTION for those who cannot afford otherwise is the purest form of capitalism you can get!!
CAPITALISM PROMOTES COMPETITION. And now the health care providers and insurance companies will have to compete for their clients JUST AS WE DO!!!
With this OPTION, insurance companies would have to be senstive to competitive prices and GOOD service to their patients.
I CHALLENGE ANYONE TO TELL ME ONE LITTLE THING THAT IS NOT GOOD ABOUT THAT.
