My Strengths and Weaknesses as a Real Estate Broker

 

Easiest to talk about my weaknesses first.  Simple.  I have none.

 

Kidding.  I know what my biggest weakness is - I sometimes take my work too personally.

In that, I mean that I feel it is my obligation to make sure that I give my absolute best to every client.  And it's important for them to know that also.

Of course, there are some out there that could not appreciate their way out of a paper bag, and those are the ones I sometimes have a problem with.  But as I get older, it doesn't really get to me too much because I can profile people pretty well, and most of the time I understand where their self-entitlement issues are coming from.

I don't know if this is a weakness or not, but I have a very low tolerance for hidden agenda and B.S.  I just think that there's no excuse for it.  Especially with me because I know that no one is perfect and life isn't perfect.  So if something is bothering you or if you are having an issue, I'm probably one of the best people you can talk to about it.  In other words, just talk to me.  We can work it out somehow and acheive your goals with an alternative path.  But don't lie to me.  It's reductive.

Now - my strengths.  I feel my biggest strength is my resourcefulness.  God knows I've had to get pretty creative sometimes to hold a deal together.  And do it within the realm of legality! LOL

Once again, my experience really comes in play during those kinds of transactions.  And since my experience continues to accumulate every day, it gets easier and easier to become a problem-solver.

I think another strength is my ability to not only listen, but understand and interpret what my client's goals are.  And perhaps also what their life journey has been to this point and how that comes into play for the buying or selling of their home.

Having attended law school for one year, and also having a degree in business management and having over 25 years experience in accounting and finance certainly comes into play many times.  So those I feel are also strengths.
