Score one for the little guy!
I have had an E-fax number for many years, and have paid for it for many years.
But I found that the company I had been using, Trustfax, which is a subsidiary of J2 Global, have let their website slip a little as far as functionality in my opinion.
So I went over to a new company, RingCentral. Of course I wanted to keep my old number as it is advertised everywhere, but my old company would not release it.
So I contacted the FCC and filed a complaint.
10 days later I got a letter from my old company replying to the inquiry from Consumer Affairs Bureau in Washington D.C. stating my number is being released to me.
Don't ever give in to corporate bullying when you're within your rights!
